⇒ RECYCOM places particularly stylish clothing and footwear recycling bins (red and purple) in public places, such as schools, town halls, etc. Individuals or organizations that can offer hospitality in similar places and/or recommend suitable places, can contact with us.
⇒ Clothing is regularly collected by RECYCOM staff and stored in our warehouses for handling and overseas shipping purposes.
⇒ After a short selection, the best clothes are offered free of charge to socially vulnerable groups in Greece in cooperation with community authorities, social grocers, or other organizations.
⇒ Further clothing is available to meet basic needs in emergency situations such as natural disasters.
⇒ The remaining percentage is extracted for reuse. Some of the material, the non-reusable clothing, is recycled to create cleaning clothes, stuffing, insulation, and other materials.
⇒ Clothing items are collected and gathered in small depots, or other collection points provided by local authorities, schools, social pantries, churches, charities, and non-profit organizations. In all cases, RECYCOM responds immediately to the regular collection of clothes, when a sufficient volume is collected.
